Turkish Adaptation of the Children’s Anger Scale: Reliability and Validity Analyses

This study aims to establish a Turkish version of the Children’s Inventory Anger Scale (ChIA) developed by Nelson and Finch (2000) evaluate intensity anger experienced in potentially anger-provoking situations children. The research sample consists 502 primary secondary school students attending their education Hatay province Turkiye. In study, construct validity ChIA, correlations subscales with each other, criterion relative validity, Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency, item-total score correlation, test-retest reliability coefficients were examined. As result confirmatory factor analysis performed for scale, it was observed that ChIA compatible four sub-dimensions as original scale all items placed relevant sub-scale. addition, coefficient found be .87, .78, .82, .75, .81 sub-scales inhibition, physical aggression, peer relations, authority respectively; consistency .83, .80, .87 subscales, respectively. Statistical analyses have shown is valid reliable can used measure expression impact on personal relationships while assessing specific cause children aged 8-11 years.
